Building life balance by eating better

As you are building yourself a balanced life, there are a few factors you should focus on. The one we are going to discuss here is building life balance by eating better. As mentioned in the earlier posts, finding life balance is about finding your personal way, not someone else´s. But since we are all human there will surely be some common ones as well. And the food is one of them.

By starting off by focusing on a few common building blocks for life balance, you can then dig deeper and decide which ones are more important for you. What I´m referring to by discussing building blocks, are concepts like sleep, relationships, passion, exercise, motivation and so forth. You can find more information on the topic HERE.

One thing which can make you or break you

Food is your fuel. Your diet has a huge impact on your health so please, love, and appreciate yourself enough to eat the best possible foods available. What you eat is going to impact both your physical and mental health.

There are numerous studies showing how big of an impact food can have on your health. About how for instance food can improve your mood, or how lack of the right bacteria in your gut can be the cause of anxiety. A lot of studies show how important food is for our overall health. Which then very clearly has an impact on our life balance.

How food can impact your life balance

Building life balance by eating better is not about having to go on strict diets. On the contrary. By just becoming aware of the importance of nutrition, it´s easier to start one step at a time. When you appreciate yourself and your health and when you want to build yourself a balanced life you are already further along than many others. Become conscious of what you eat, that is the easiest way you can start. There is no need to be strict or to go overboard just become aware and maybe you make better decisions regarding what foods you buy and put in your mouth.

Try to keep away from diets and make better choices instead.

Eat regularly and enjoy your food. When you eat healthy foods, you will notice the lack of those hideous energy dips. You are more likely to eat only when you feel hungry and cravings will be history (at least most of the time). When you don´t have energy dips in the afternoon, you are going to stay away from sweets and coffee, which won´t then have an impact on your sleep. Nor will you be so tired so that you will just sit on your sofa when you get back home from work. More likely you will appreciate yourself enough, to maybe go out for a walk instead. The coffee you decided not to have late in the afternoon, isn´t going to affect your sleep either. Good job! You see how all areas in your life ties together. One isn´t more important than the other, but one area is a good place to start.

You are important. See to it to build yourself a balanced life and focus on what you eat.
