Productivity is more about managing your energy and less about managing time alone.

Managing our energy is equally if not even more important than being aware of how we use our time. Trying to manage only our time will set us on the wrong track. By focusing on our energy and then maybe pick some time management tools we can get so much further and feel better all together.

Think of a situation when you had enough time but where lacking energy. What happened? I would guess that you either did nothing, because you didn’t feel like it, or then you forced yourself to something and felt awful. (Sometimes forcing yourself might get you going but most of the times it will only be a struggle).

My point here is that managing time without paying a closer look at our energy doesn’t give us the outcome we would like.

Instead, combining time management with energy management will serve us far better than focusing on time management alone.
